Long Awaited Post!!!
So here is my long awaited post, not written "last night", but tonight.
I'm starting my first week back at work (today is my second day) after taking 2 weeks off. I spent the first weekend, that Monday and Tuesday morning in Dallas. I met some people from my work that I had previously only had contact on the phone and via email. Everyone is already sooo sick of me saying this, but Dallas is seriously such a clean and orderly city unlike Chicago! Even the homeless people in Dallas are active and are trying to sell you something, rather than just sitting and shaking their coffee cup of change. The food was excellent, yummy steaks and Mexican. First night = bacon wrapped filet at a place called The Butcher's Shop. Sunday night we went to Kobe Steaks. Monday was Uncle Julio's. Yummy yummy yummy! Oh, and the Galleria is a NICE mall. Think far North Michigan Ave (Gucci,LV) + Oak St! Hehe. And they had a Thomas Pink store rather than just the little section inside the Field's on State. I also got this super yummy Creme Brulee from a little bakery in the food court. It was so rich and it came in a sugar cookie shell:)
Went to Wisconsin with Christopher's family over labor day weekend. It was fun but the plumbing was anything but. The power was out and the plumbing also wasn't functional. They got the power back, but the water came out an icky rusty color and smell. I tried running the water but it still tasted nasty. Needless to say, I only showered once and brushed my teeth with bottled water.
The rest of the time that wasn't spent in Dallas or Wisconsin was spent just hanging around. Lots of eating (yay for Phoenix dim sum!) and nothing. Oh, also going to Champaign and back twice in the span of 2 days...Kevin you owe me!!!!! May post THAT story some other time.
Diet update - I've stalled on the weight loss. I really need to get some self control and quit eating things that are not on the diet and are bad for me. But it's so hard when so many things are soooooo good...but I will try. I still want to look better than THAT girl...
