Update
Work is going well, if a bit slow. Finishing up a project where I analyzed about 5 months worth of defects (over 1400!!!) both cancelled and closed, where I figure out trends and such. Not a whole lot of fun and excitement, but I think it's worthwhile.
Okay, so that wasn't much of an update:) Will do more soon eventually...
I Win!
Well no not really. Not sure where that title came from but oh well:)
Finally met Brian's Cheryl last night (last minute bowling - finally Brian did NOT bail on me). She seems like a nice enough girl but only time will tell. I wasn't too social so I don't know for sure yet.
Exciting news? No. I'm boring. The only semi-exciting thing is that Jon has 4 chincillas and I get to go play with them sometime. Yay.
Long Awaited Post!!!
So here is my long awaited post, not written "last night", but tonight.
I'm starting my first week back at work (today is my second day) after taking 2 weeks off. I spent the first weekend, that Monday and Tuesday morning in Dallas. I met some people from my work that I had previously only had contact on the phone and via email. Everyone is already sooo sick of me saying this, but Dallas is seriously such a clean and orderly city unlike Chicago! Even the homeless people in Dallas are active and are trying to sell you something, rather than just sitting and shaking their coffee cup of change. The food was excellent, yummy steaks and Mexican. First night = bacon wrapped filet at a place called The Butcher's Shop. Sunday night we went to Kobe Steaks. Monday was Uncle Julio's. Yummy yummy yummy! Oh, and the Galleria is a NICE mall. Think far North Michigan Ave (Gucci,LV) + Oak St! Hehe. And they had a Thomas Pink store rather than just the little section inside the Field's on State. I also got this super yummy Creme Brulee from a little bakery in the food court. It was so rich and it came in a sugar cookie shell:)
Went to Wisconsin with Christopher's family over labor day weekend. It was fun but the plumbing was anything but. The power was out and the plumbing also wasn't functional. They got the power back, but the water came out an icky rusty color and smell. I tried running the water but it still tasted nasty. Needless to say, I only showered once and brushed my teeth with bottled water.
The rest of the time that wasn't spent in Dallas or Wisconsin was spent just hanging around. Lots of eating (yay for Phoenix dim sum!) and nothing. Oh, also going to Champaign and back twice in the span of 2 days...Kevin you owe me!!!!! May post THAT story some other time.
Diet update - I've stalled on the weight loss. I really need to get some self control and quit eating things that are not on the diet and are bad for me. But it's so hard when so many things are soooooo good...but I will try. I still want to look better than THAT girl...
Will Update Tonight
I swear I'll update tonight...I have lots to say about Dallas and Wisconsin trip and the wonders of a 2 week vacation:)
Yummy Dinner
I don't think anyone will care other than Christopher but we had such a yummy dinner last night...
C:
-crab cakes
-scallops
-chocolate malted mousse
J:
-duckling nachos
-ahi tuna
-butterscotch pudding
The coffee was pretty decent too...even though it had to be doctored with cream and sugar (they didn't have skim milk and splenda!).
I REALLY need to get back on that diet...I was doing really well for a while. I swear I will look better than that cow.
Happy Birthday Christopher!
Happy birthday Christopher! We will have a yummy dinner at 302 West tonight.
This one's for you
Ok so the post title has NOTHING to do with the post. Not yet at least. I have some song in my head right now, I don't know the lyrics or the tune or even where I've heard it...just the phrase...so "this one's for you" :) I had Steve and Jeff (guys from work for all of you reading this and not knowing who they are) over for dinner. I made my super yummy lasagna, which I did not have any of since I'm determined to stick to that South Beach Diet (which does work by the way). I'm determined that I'm going to lose all this weight and be skinny and hot. Or I'll settle for looking better than that COW that you-know-who is dating. Although Christopher, I'll have to disagree with you. I think she looks more like a horse - she has a very long face. I don't even think it's the weight that I care as much about as it is that I just want to lose that damn pudge around my stomach. It's there and it's soooo icky. Makes me look....cow-like.
